Here is some little known trivia: Lou Mitchell’s son-in-law, Nick Noble, was a hit parade, pop singer in the late 50s.

After his singing career faded, you could find Nick greeting guests and passing out those little boxes of Milk Duds when you visited. According to the Wikipedia post, Nick passed away just three months ago at 85.
